Brandon is a consummate professional in his music instruction. He teaches his students not just to play the violin, but to enjoy the violin. In just a few months my ten-year-old was reading music and playing scales. A year later, she is playing songs and will soon do her first recital. Brandon is a great music teacher. We highly recommend him.

Highly recommend Brandon!!!!! At first I was hesitant to sign-up my 4 year old son in violin lessons, since he has a difficult time focusing BUT since my son has been taking violin lessons with Brandon he has been able to learn how to focus and develop an interest for music and playing the violin. I'm very pleased and satisfied with the patience, dedication, and enthusiasm Brandon brings into the lessons. Brandon has an awesome personality; friendly, great sense of humor, and dedicated. He has has an amazing talent for music and teaching. My son made an instant connection with Brandon since the introductory lesson and has learned so much in such a short period of time. My son is always looking forward to his violin lessons with Brandon and says he wants to be a violinist when he grows-up.

~Reviews~

Brandon has been teaching my middle school aged son for over six months now on the Viola. He is an amazing teacher. He is kind, patient, knowledgeable, fun, detailed, and funny.  We initially went to Brandon to help prepare my son for his LACHSA ( Los Angeles County High School for the Arts) audition. They worked not only on scales and songs but also on audition technique. My son got accepted to the school. Brandon's instruction has helped my son take his viola playing to the next level. His love and passion for his instrument has grown since being instructed by Brandon. I appreciate how quickly he answers text message or will send us a quick video to answer one of my sons questions. He has even invited us to one of his concerts. My son is eager to get to his lesson each week. Brandon is the teacher you want if you want skill, excellent one-on-one attention, detailed instruction and passion for your instrument.

Brandon instructed me on viola for about a year, and he's been absolutely amazing. In Brandon I found a teacher who was attentive to detail, patient, dedicated, and passionate about instrumental music and about teaching. In the first few lessons, he worked with me to find lapses in my previous instruction, and with saintlike patience, helped me reconstruct my technique. He struck a good balance between scales/technical practice and repertoire expansion with me. What really stands out about Brandon, beyond his skill with his art, is how genuinely invested he is in his students. He constantly encouraged me and motivated me to work hard to improve. He also brings a bright sense of humor to his lessons, and he's a delight to converse with. He is flexible about scheduling, and very easy to communicate with.
I learned so much from Brandon, and I greatly enjoyed my lessons with him. He's a terrific teacher, and I'd recommend him to a violist or violinist of any age looking for a teacher who brings thorough instruction, focused attention, and passion to each lesson.

I have been learning the violin with Brandon for over a year now and I would say that he really knows the craft and I enjoy my every class with him. He is firm but flexible when it comes to your learning curves. He also infuses humor in the class which makes me feel at ease and remember tips and techniques. Regardless what age you are or if you have never played the violin before like me, Brandon will be the right fit for you.

Brandon is great with adult students as well. He is both patient and informative while encouraging his students in the process. His one-on-one attention to detail is very helpful. I have also been impressed how quickly he responds to emails sent to him whenever I have had a question. It is very clear to anyone who spends any amount of time with Brandon that he loves what he does. I would recommend Brandon to any person looking to learn the violin regardless of age.

My 10 year old liked him because he brought his own violin with him each lesson. This really helped with learning as one could literally hear what he meant. He was very patient and gentle yet firm.
